Original Story (11/16/20): The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu has been getting a ton of new colorways recently, though variations in material have been rather sparse. This upcoming “Cream” colorway, however, gives the silhouette some fresh new construction.
This offering of the Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu features a cream-colored knit upper, though instead of the usual smooth construction, the surface of the upper features a striped ribbed pattern. Also new on this colorway is the lettering on the upper. Instead of the typical embroidery, the Korean characters (that translate to “Human Race”) are raised and appear to be made from chenille. Pops of color are found on the heel, which comes in pink, and on the front EVA block on the midsole, which is dressed in blue. Additional details include a cream midsole with a clear creamy lace cage to match the upper, plus black laces and a black outsole to match the color of the lettering.

Update (02/02/21): Pharrell and adidas have announced the release of their “Cream” NMD Hu. For the rollout of the shoe, friends and family received their pairs via a robotic dog (check out a clip from Pusha T’s IG story). A limited 250-pair public release is scheduled for February 5th via the adidas Confirmed app and Billionaire Boys Club.
