Original Story (06/04/21): Following their last partner project in Fall/Winter 2020, STAUD and New Balance are reuniting to present a new offering of womenswear. While past collaborations with the Sarah Staudinger-led fashion label revolved around the New Balance 327 and 997, the 57/40 will now have its time in the limelight.
The collection includes tennis-specific offerings, complete with an athletic set, tennis bag and the shoes. The New Balance 57/40 is known for its 80s-meets-90s aesthetic. Based on a clean, pastel palette, they boast a yellow, beige and seafoam green composition that complement the white midsoles and grey outsole. STAUD and New Balance branding stands out on the tongue as the cherry on top. A tennis skirt and matching sports bra set make an appearance as well, pairing with a tennis ball-inspired shoulder bag and branded tennis ball. The collection proves to be essential for spring by maintaining style without compromising performance.
The STAUD x New Balance collection will launch June 24th exclusively on STAUD.CLOTHING (9am PT) and the New Balance website. Superfans can sign up for early access here.
Update (06/15/21): STAUD and New Balance have unveiled their full collection, which features the 57/40 and 327, each offered in unisex sizing, as well as apparel and accessories. Aside from the tennis offerings, there are also nod to boxing with the shirred waistband boxing short and a shoelace-cinched waist jacket. Pricing is $60-$160 for the ready-to-wear items, $295 for accessories, and $150 for each of the shoe styles. Check out the full lineup in the images below.
