The NBA is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, commemorated throughout the 2021-2022 season. Mitchell & Ness is joining in on the festivities with an extensive collection of jerseys, apparel, and accessories.
Included in the product offerings is a “Precious Metals” Swingman collection featuring uniforms in silver, platinum, gold, and rose gold color schemes, each donning the NBA 75th Anniversary logo. The silver collection, as an homage to the 25th anniversary, pays tribute to the greatest players since 1946. Their golden birthday in 1996 came paired with a list of the 50 Greatest Players of All-Time, with the gold and rose gold collections featuring members of that list. The platinum collection follows suit with players from the modern era.
Along with this in-line collection, Mitchell & Ness will also be teaming up with many upcoming and established brands this season, including leathersmith Jeff Hamilton, Don C of Just Don, and official NBA game ball provider Wilson Basketball.
More collaborators will join in as part of Mitchell & Ness Hometown series launch, celebrating the NBA’s ties to its community. Influential boutiques across the country will take part, including Bodega in Boston & Los Angeles, Major in Washington D.C., Lapstone & Hammer in Philadelphia, MODA3 in Milwaukee, Corporate in Indianapolis & Cincinnati, LDRS in Chicago, UNKNWN in Miami, Wish in Atlanta, and Xhibition in Cleveland.
The heritage brand will also unveil its “Consciously Classic” initiative later this season, created to spearhead sustainability through the integration of renewable and eco-friendly materials.
Mitchell & Ness NBA 75th Anniversary jerseys, jackets, shorts, headwear, hoodies, tees and more will begin releasings starting December 23rd on the Mitchell & Ness website, as well as M&N flagship location in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
