Original Story (12/06/23): Marcus Jordan and the Jumpman are cooking up another one. Trophy Room and Jordan Brand are reuniting on an Air Jordan 1 Low OG project set to release this spring.
Through his last two Trophy Room x Air Jordan projects, Marcus Jordan was able to tell unique stories about his father’s career. The infamous “Freeze Out” AJ1s were inspired by Michael Jordan competing in the 1985 All-Star Game, while the “New Sheriff In Town” AJ7s referenced a specific scrimmage leading up to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
Upon first glance we see that the shoe comes in a red, white, and black color scheme that is synonymous with the Chicago Bulls. First look images also reveal mixed material construction: white leather on the quarters and toe box, red satin toe overlays, and black carbon fiber-like twill on the heels. Special features include an embroidered Swoosh logo, the Trophy Room logo embroidered on the lateral eyelet overlay, MJ’s signature embroidered on the lateral heel, and gold hardware in the shape of the Wings logo on the heels. Another interesting detail is the mismatching insoles, one coming in aqua blue and the other in mossy green.
The Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low OG is expected to drop this spring via Trophy Room and possibly SNKRS. Grab an early look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on this upcoming release.
Update (12/14/23): Marcus Jordan officially unveiled the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low on the series finale of Full Size Run. Revealed in two colorways in a “Reverse Black Toe” color blocking, the design is inspired by Michael Jordan’s 1986 Fleer rookie card. The “Home” colorway features a white Swoosh and will be Trophy Room exclusive, while the “Away” colorway with the black Swoosh will be available via Trophy Room and SNKRS. Each colorway is constructed from different materials. Check out both pairs below and stay tuned for additional updates.
