Original Story (11/12/24): Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat” as part of its Spring 2025 lineup.
The “Black Cat” Jordan 3 originally released in 2007 and was a follow-up to the “Black Cat” Jordan 4 released a year prior. These all-black colorways paid homage to Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname, given to him by his NBA peers for the way he stealthily and swiftly moved down the court.
The 2025 version of the “Black Cat” Jordan 3 is the first retro of the 2007 colorway and stays true to the original release — equipped with nubuck uppers, shiny patent leather mudguards, and dark elephant print overlays. They also come with the original black elephant print shoelaces and glossy Jumpman logos on the tongues, though the original “Black Cat” wordmark embroidery hidden behind the heel tabs has been omitted from this re-release.
