Original Story (02/04/25): Jordan Brand usually only drops one or two Jordan 11s a year as special releases for the holiday season. However, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan line, so the brand is going all out with a handful of Air Jordan 11s on the 2025 calendar. This includes new colorways such as the “Rare Air” and “Grand Finale,” as well as the return of the 2013 “Gamma.”
Despite not being an OG, the Air Jordan 11 “Gamma” is a cult classic colorway. It’s also quite divisive, with some considering it one of the best non-OG AJ 11s and others hating the design. The sneaker features a primarily black color scheme, with black applied to the mesh uppers, heel overlays, and patent leather. Gamma blue accents are found throughout, such as on the Jordan logos and the outsoles, while golden maize hits appear on the tongues, heels, and insoles.
The Jordan 11 “Gamma” is expected to release in December 2025 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out the 2013 release below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more updates.
