Original Story (08/29/25): Action Bronson is set to release his next Baklava x New Balance collab, a two-pack of 992 MADE in USA colorways.
In addition to the previously previewed “Tiger Eye” iteration, the Queens rapper has unveiled a second version of the 992 dubbed “Digitalis Purpurea,” the scientific name of the foxglove plant. The colorway references a species known both for its beauty, toxicity, and medicinal qualities—foxgloves contain cardiac glycosides that are poisonous when consumed, yet also used in medicine to create prescription drugs that treat certain heart conditions.
The sneaker channels the plant’s vivid blooms with vibrant magenta suedes and striking pops of pink and purple across the upper. The bright hues are contrasted by neutral khaki mesh, a classic grey tongue, and an earthy two-tone midsole, adding depth to Bronson’s latest wild take on a New Balance classic.
Bronson first showcased the “Digitalis Purpurea” 992 at the premiere of the A24 film Caught Stealing, in which he stars alongside Austin Butler and Bad Bunny.
