Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R “Medusa Azul” Gets Global Release

Original Story (06/02/24): Following the launch of the “Rosewater” and “Scorpius” colorways, next up from Action Bronson and New Balance is the 1906R “Medusa Azul.”

Medusa Azul is another name for the Portuguese man o’ war, a blue jellyfish-like creature found mainly in tropical and subtropical regions. They are covered in venom-filled nematocysts used to paralyze and kill fish and other small creatures. While rarely deadly to humans, a sting from a man o’ war is excruciatingly painful.

“Nature needs no gimmicks. Evolution and adaptation,” says Action Bronson.

The 1906R “Medusa Azul” features a blue mesh upper with matching blue leather overlays and a blue midsole. Black hits are found on the toe cap and heel counter. Other contributing colors are brown on the tight-knit mesh side paneling and purple on the laces. Like the “Rosewater” colorway, these come packaged with an orange mesh drawstring bag with Specializing In Life and New Balance branding.

The Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R “Medusa Azul” is slated to drop June 2024 on the New Balance website and at select retailers. Expect an early launch on specializinginlife.com in the lead up to the global release. Grab a preview below.

Update (06/20/24): Action Bronson has announced a June 21st release date for the “Medusa Azul” 1906R. Expect a raffle on specializinginlife.com.

Update (07/20/24): Both the “Medusa Azul” and “Rosewater” colorways will receive wider releases following their launch on Action Bronson’s Specializing In Life website. Catch the global release July 12th on NewBalance.com and at select retailers. The “Scorpius” colorway will remain highly limited as a Friends & Family exclusive.
