Active Athlete & adidas Channel Texas Heritage with "Lone Star Reppin'" Superstar

Houston’s oldest streetwear shop, Active Athlete, has teamed up with adidas for a collaboration on the Superstar rooted in Texas legacy and culture.

The Western-coded shoe debuted during Rodeo Season, the world’s largest show with livestock and rodeo, and salutes Houston while also celebrating the entirety of the South’s ambitious culture. Cowboy boot-inspired stitching strikes through the Three Stripes, while turquoise accents shine amid the dark brown upper. Additional details include a custom belt-buckle dubrae, a cowhide-print insole, a metal cowboy/cowgirl boot hangtag, and raised “Lone Star Reppin’” lettering on the heel. Each pair comes with four lace options: waxed oval, brown flat, white rope, and teal.

Founded in 1988 by Paul Seernani, Active Athlete has become a streetwear landmark that has thrived through the test of time and will continue to serve the next generation of fashion enthusiasts residing in the South.

To celebrate the launch, a Lone Star Saloon pop-up event is going down at Active Athlete’s Cullen Blvd location on March 7th from 2-5pm, transforming the flagship store into a full western saloon experience. Additional festivities include a Honky Tonk Night in collaboration with Her Grails and special appearances at the Houston Rodeo Cook-Off, including activations at the Boots & Blues Tent and Burns Original BBQ.

The Active Athlete x adidas “Lone Star Reppin’” Superstar drops March 7th in limited quantities exclusively at Active Athlete’s Cullen, Wilcrest, and Federal locations, as well as online. Check out the pair below.
