As Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves face off against the San Antonio Spurs for a spot in the Western Conference Finals, adidas continues its rollout of the Anthony Edwards 2 with a new “Velocity Blue” colorway of Ant’s signature model.
This edition of the AE 2 is a sequel to the AE 1 of the same name, dressed in Anthony Edwards’ favorite color, a deep saturated blue hue. While the AE 1 featured green accents to create a Timberwolves-inspired palette, the AE 2 replaces them with pops of sky blue on the tongues, heels, and outsoles.
The “Velocity Blue” AE 2 was debuted during Indiana Fever media day by rookie Raven Johnson, who first met Anthony Edwards in the ninth grade in their hometown of Atlanta.
