Anthony Edwards and adidas Basketball are following up the success of 2024’s “sneaker of the year,” the Anthony Edwards 1, with the NBA superstar’s second signature shoe, the Anthony Edwards 2.
Building off the foundation of the AE 1, the Anthony Edwards 2 is even lighter and more explosive than its predecessor, designed to reflect Edwards’ dynamic game and unwavering confidence. The silhouette was engineered in close collaboration with Ant himself to deliver a shoe tailored for players who embody fearless self-belief on and off the court.
“Just like I challenge myself every game, this shoe is built to help players outdo themselves every time they step on the court,” says Anthony Edwards. “I was part of every step of the process, from ideas to sketches, and it feels incredible to see it come to life.”
The AE 2 introduces new design breakthroughs engineered for explosive speed, dynamic movement, and all-day comfort:

- Articulated Fangs – Delivers lockdown and containment, keeping players secure through every cut, drive, and first step.
- LIGHTBOOST + Lightstrike – Combines rim and core construction with adidas’ leading cushioning platforms, offering superior comfort, responsiveness, and long-lasting freshness on and off the court.
Like the AE 1, the Anthony Edwards 2 debuts in the signature peach-toned “With Love” colorway, paying homage to Ant’s hometown of Atlanta while also honoring his mother and grandmother with their favorite hues. This marks the first of many upcoming releases, with adidas and Edwards planning a diverse lineup of colorways and exclusives throughout the season, each reflecting Ant’s journey, inspirations, and global impact.
