The adidas “Tang” or Chinese New Year Jacket that was making rounds on social media out of Asia last year is finally headed to the U.S., and four colorways make up the drop: Olive, Burgundy, Sky Blue, and Grey.
The frog-button closures and mandarin collar give the jacket its identity, while the Three Stripes running down the sleeves keep it unmistakably adidas. It’s that balance that makes the collection land the way it does. One thing worth noting is that the golden yellow colorway seen in the campaign imagery appears to remain exclusive to Asia, so U.S. shoppers will have to settle for the remaining four.
