Following its debut in “Wonder Alumina,” the Fear of God Athletics III Basketball returns in a second colorway, “Cinder.”
This darker colorway comes equipped with a charcoal grey upper crafted from rich suede and breathable knit, giving the shoe an elevated, layered textured. Underfoot, a sculpted Lightstrike midsole delivers responsive cushioning, while the durable translucent rubber outsole ensures reliable traction both on and off the court.
The III Basketball is the lightest basketball shoe from the Fear of God Athletics line, weighing in at 360 grams. It’s imbued with Fear of God’s fashion-forward design language, while also engineered for elite performance, making it equally suited for lifestyle wear and game-time use. Franz Wagner of the Orlando Magic debuted the new “Cinder” colorway during Game 1 against the Detroit Pistons in April.
More than just a new colorway, the “Cinder” release marks the final chapter of the 5-year partnership between Jerry Lorenzo and adidas, with the III Basketball standing as the last silhouette—and this drop as its closing statement.
