adidas is bringing the Y2K era into the future with the modern return of its Megaride footwear.
The Three Stripes introduces its new Megaride AG silhouette, an evolution of the design language introduced in 2004 with the launch of the A3 Megaride. The shoe features a modified version of the A3 cushioning structure—defined by spring-like hollowed-out bubbles—optimized with a more fluid shape than the circular build from the 2000s.
The Megaride AG was recently debuted through a Willy Chavarria collaboration in “Black” and “Cream” hues, and general release colorways are now on the way. An upcoming “Burgundy” colorway arrives in a more monochromatic palette than the Chavarria styles. Still, the pair’s sleek futuristic design language makes this an instant classic, bridging the past and present with synthetic overlays and open-tunnel soles, all drenched in a cohesive deep burgundy tone. adidas has never been afraid to push past the limits of convention, and this sneaker is no exception.
The adidas Megaride AG “Burgundy” is slated to drop this spring on adidas.com and at select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
