adidas Launches Mexico’s Third Kit for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Alongside a collection hand-crafted by Mexican women artisans.

adidas has officially launched Mexico’s third kit for 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside a special adidas Originals collection in collaboration with Someone Somewhere.

The new kit serves as a symbol of national identity, paying tribute to Mexico being the only country in history to host three World Cups, marking a milestone in international soccer. Inspired by the concept of “The Mexican Wa(y)ve,” the jersey features a tonal “MX” pattern throughout its black body. Like the National Team’s Away jersey, the third kit features the adidas Originals Trefoil logo on the right chest, as well as a “Somos México” (We Are Mexico) message on the back of the neck—a detail found on both the Home and Away jerseys.

The Mexican Men’s National Team will debut their third jersey on May 22nd in a match against Ghana and is available for purchase now on the adidas website and Fanatics.

Accompanying the jersey is a six-piece collection created in collaboration with Someone Somewhere, a Mexican-based brand that empowers rural artisans—specifically women—by providing fair, consistent income, aiming to lift them out of poverty while preserving their cultural heritage.

Over 150 woman artisans from the community of Naupan in the Sierra Norte of Puebla worked on the collection for over a year and used more than 1 million meters of thread to bring their creations to life. Every crest, trefoil, and adidas stripes was embroidered by hand, and each piece is equipped with a tag with the artisan’s name and a QR code to learn more about their story.

“What began as an idea that connected with thousands of people continues to evolve. This year, together with adidas, the vision goes even further: we are expanding the reach of artisanal handiwork so more people can wear pieces that represent the talent, identity, and pride of our communities at such a relevant time for Mexico,” says Antonio Nuño, CEO and co-founder of Someone Somewhere. “This collaboration sets a precedent for the global fashion industry, proving it is possible to integrate artisanal value chains into the production systems of global brands.”

The adidas Mexico National Team third kit and accompanying Someone Somewhere collection are available now on the adidas website and at select retailers. Check out the collection below.
