adidas Originals has introduced adiSignature, a new line of sweats and tracksuits developed with designer Willy Chavarria, who serves as its Creative Advisor. The collection reworks the brand’s Firebird and SST tracksuits, along with core pieces like hoodies, crewnecks, tees, and sweatpants, and is the first of many seasons.
The idea is to make sweats people want to keep and wear for years. Chavarria describes adiSignature as a long-term framework rather than a one-off drop.
“adiSignature is a framework that adidas and I developed together that will evolve over years,” Chavarria explains. “It’s a new way of thinking about the brand’s timeless offering.”
Everything is made from a heavyweight 420g brushed-back fleece and rebuilt from the ground up. The changes include new Three Stripes executions, ribbing, waistband heights, and zipper pulls, plus one-piece hoods, dropped shoulders, and more spacious sweatpants. The campaign images show the pieces layered on top of each other, with boxer waistbands peeking out, cropped hoodies over contrast-lined hoods, and stacked tees and tanks.
The first drop leans on 80s-style color blocking, with colors ranging from lavender, pink, forest green, and cobalt to cream, gray, and black. Some sweatpants feature a large vertical adidas wordmark and Trefoil running down the leg. The release also includes a premium NY block pack that updates an archival jogging suit from the 80s.
Brianna Capozzi shot and directed the campaign, and Georgia Pendlebury styled it. It features a diverse cast in unscripted moments, and the accompanying short film has them talk about their memories, relationships, and identities, with color as the common thread.
The first adiSignature Collection by adidas Originals is available now on adidas.com, the Confirmed app, in adidas retail stores, and at select retail partners. Check out the campaign images below.
