Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance have reunited for a second collection featuring the Made in UK 991, a follow-up to the tan and grey colorways released in 2022.
The latest capsule draws inspiration from winter nautical exploration in the Nordics and is accompanied by a campaign video shot over multiple days along the Oslo Fjord, crossing between Norway and Sweden, capturing the experience of braving winter conditions on the water.
The 991 comes in two new colorways, each featuring distressed waxed split Italian suede overlays and bold red accents. The “Chocolate” pair comes dressed in chocolate brown suede paired with light beige perforated leather, while the “Celery” colorway combines olive-colored suede with steel grey mesh.
The footwear is accompanied by a full ALD x New Balance apparel collection comprised of double layered offshore jackets and pants, performance fleece pullovers and a performance fleece pant, and hoodies, rugbys, and knit sweaters adorned with international maritime flags. Rounding out the capsule are accessories such as a fleece utility bag, offshore fleece hats, performance nylon hats, waffle crew socks, and a nautical bandana.
