The collabs we’ve seen so far this year have hit on every style, shape, color and pattern while sparking links between plenty of powerhouses in the sport, art, and entertainment worlds. That being said, we have yet to see one as reimagined as the one between Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche. The two have unveiled their partnership, flexing a collaborative one-of-one 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 911.
The project itself was born from months of extensive research. The classic 911 was completely restored and inspired by Aimé’s Fall/Winter 2020 Collection. The interior was reupholstered with Schott sunflower leather and Loro Piana houndstooth. Leather and suede tag team throughout the interior with the former wrapping the steering wheel and door panels, the latter covering the headliner and sunroof.
The outer design of the car drips luxury, following the same shade of white found on the outside of Aimé Leon Dore’s Mulberry flagship. A badge of honor reading “ALD 964” can be found on the rear grille, while the Pegasus graphic on the steering wheel nods at Porsche’s racing roots.
