Jordan Brand is dropping a Low version of the Air Jordan 1 “Rookie of the Year” as part of its Spring 2025 lineup.
The “Rookie of the Year” Jordan 1 originally released as a High in 2018, dressed in a colorway inspired by the clothes Michael Jordan wore during his 1985 Rookie of the Year Award speech. It featured a Sail leather base with Wheat brown suede overlays, the latter matching the shirt MJ wore during the award ceremony. The design was rounded out by black Swooshes and a black and red tongue tag, a color combo synonymous with the Chicago Bulls and Jordan Brand.
Seven years after the release of the High, the “Rookie of the Year” AJ1 Low features the same material construction and color blocking as its predecessor. The Low will come with new packaging, dressed in a Wheat colored box with red branding to match the design of the shoe.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year” is set to drop in early 2025 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
