Jordan Brand is giving some of its often-overlooked post-retirement Air Jordan models the “murdered out” treatment this holiday season with the upcoming “Black Pack.” The lineup brings together the Air Jordan 14 Low, Air Jordan 15, Air Jordan 16, and Air Jordan 17 Low, with each model dressed predominantly in black while using its own combination of materials and textures.
The Air Jordan 16 “Black Pack” keeps things especially clean. Premium tumbled black leather covers most of the upper, while mesh appears on the tongue and heel. The removable shroud remains intact, while glossy patent leather wraps the toe for a hit of contrast and a nod to one of the AJ16’s signature details.
Black continues across the midsole and outsole, giving the shoe a monochromatic finish from top to bottom.
The Air Jordan 16 has seen sporadic releases since its original run, with the 2017 “CEO” and a feature in Russell Westbrook’s 2020 “Why Not?” pack among its more recent appearances. Now, Jordan Brand appears to be ramping up activity around the model, with the Free The Youth collab arriving this past August, followed by the “Black Pack” this fall, and the return of the OG “Ginger” colorway, currently slated for June 2027.
