Original Story (03/28/22): It’s been thirty years since Nike debuted the Air Jordan 7, the shoe Michael Jordan wore throughout the 1991-92 season as he secured his second NBA championship. To celebrate the anniversary, Jordan Brand will be bringing back the OG “Cardinal” colorway in 2022.
The Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal” was one of five original colorways of the Air Jordan 7 that released in 1992. It comes dressed in a white leather upper with Cardinal Red and Chutney gold accents throughout, paired with a black sole unit. This 2022 retro marks the third time Jordan has brought back the colorway, following retro releases in 2006 and 2011.
The Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal” is currently expected to drop on November 26th on SNKRS and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
