Jordan Brand is continuing to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan line into the last month of the year with the return of the Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” — the second OG Air Jordan 8 colorway to release this year following the return of the “Aqua” colorway in July.
Worn by Michael Jordan during the ’92-’93 season in the lead-up to his third championship run with the Chicago Bulls, the “Bugs Bunny” Air Jordan 8 features a white leather upper with cross straps at the forefoot embellished with Jordan’s “23” number and a molded heel panel in light grey suede. Additional details include a chenille Jumpman logo patch on the tongue, an abstract red, grey, and white design on the heel counter, and a glistening dark grey midsole.
The pair gets its “Bugs Bunny” nickname from the iconic Looney Tunes franchise, as characters like Bugs Bunny and Marvin the Martian were seen wearing the sneakers in animated television commercials in the ’90s. After its original release in 1993, the colorway was first retro’d in 2003, followed by another drop in 2013. This 2025 pair marks the colorway’s third retro release and is designed to be true to the original 1993 release.
The Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” drops December 20th on SNKRS and at select retailers in full family sizing. Check out the official images below.
