Air Jordan 8 “Chrome” Returns For 2026 Retro Release

Its first retro since 2015.

Jordan Brand is bringing back one of the Air Jordan 8’s most underrated colorways with the return of the Air Jordan 8 “Chrome.” Last seen in 2015, the fan-favorite makeup is set to make another comeback, giving longtime collectors and newer sneakerheads another shot at a clean, understated classic.

Originally released in 2003, the “Chrome” Air Jordan 8 arrived during a period when Jordan retros were beginning to develop their own legacy beyond Michael Jordan’s playing career. The shoe came equipped with a stealthy black nubuck upper paired with subtle grey detailing and metallic chrome hits.

The 2026 retro stays true to the original with all details intact, including the fuzzy grey chenille tongue patches and the Air Jordan 8’s signature 23-branded cross straps. This year’s retro will also feature an updated shape to better reflect the mold used on the OG Air Jordan 8 in the ’90s.

The Air Jordan 8 “Chrome” returns September 12th via SNKRS and select retailers in full family sizing. Check out the 2026 retro below.
