Converse & Nike SB Present Footwear Pack by Alexis Sablone

Earlier this year, Nike SB partnered with Converse CONS team rider Alexis Sablone to design Olympic skateboarding federation kits for the United States and Japan, as well as third universal kit designed for skaters across the globe. Alexis chose to feature a pair of chameleons on the crest on this third kit, “for the simple reason that skateboarders can look any number of ways.”

This chameleon theme also informs Sablone’s new skateboarding footwear pack, consisting of her signature Converse AS-1 Pro and a Nike SB Dunk Low. The chameleon’s ability to transform its skin in numerous ways speaks to the ever-evolving nature of skateboarding and the individuality central to the sport.

Both pairs in the pack feature bumpy, reptilian-textured uppers and color changing, wear-away leather, chameleon camo insoles, and the Federation Agnostic crest applied to the back of the tongues. The AS-1 Pro opts for a white outer layer, with Fuchsia Glow hits on the Star Chevron and heel underlay matching the upper’s base layer. The Dunk features scaley, earth toned patterns on a white upper and comes with a Swoosh made to resemble a chameleon’s distinct, curving tongue.

The Converse CONS AS-1 Pro and Nike SB Dunk Low will be available as a limited-edition twin pack box on August 22nd via select skate shops in North America and August 29th via SNKRS. This box set is individually numbered and limited to 500 units worldwide.
