A’ja Wilson’s second signature sneaker is getting its first Player Exclusive retail release, and it’s dedicated to one of her closest friends.
Nike has unveiled the Allisha Gray Nike A’Two “Slept On” PE, a special colorway honoring the Atlanta Dream guard, who many around the league consider one of the WNBA’s most underrated stars. The nickname speaks directly to that reputation, celebrating a player whose consistent production has often flown under the radar despite multiple All-Star appearances and a championship résumé.
Gray and Wilson’s friendship dates back to their time together at the University of South Carolina, where they helped deliver the Gamecocks’ first NCAA women’s basketball championship in 2017. Nearly a decade later, that bond now extends to Wilson’s signature footwear line.
The “Slept On” colorway arrives dressed in shimmering shades of cosmic purple, with star graphics scattered across the upper to reinforce the night sky theme. Additional details include personalized lace dubraes with “ZZZ” and “GRAY” branding, a translucent outsole, and crescent moon graphics on the heel pull tabs.
Before its retail launch, both Gray and Wilson debuted the colorway on August 3rd when the Atlanta Dream faced the Las Vegas Aces, giving fans their first on-foot look during one of the season’s marquee matchups.
