The WNBA’s Barbie now has her own official Barbie doll.
Mattel has unveiled a Barbie Signature doll inspired by Angel Reese, celebrating the basketball star’s growing influence across sports, fashion, business, and culture. It’s a fitting honor for Reese, whose “Bayou Barbie” nickname first took off during her championship run at LSU and has followed her into the WNBA, becoming a defining part of her identity on and off the court.
The doll captures Reese’s signature style, dressed in a game-day-inspired outfit complete with the upcoming Reebok Angel Reese 1 “Barbie” basketball shoes. Fans will also be able to lace up the same pink colorway themselves, as Reebok is releasing the Angel Reese 1 “Barbie” in adult and kids’ sizing next month.

“Having my own Barbie doll is a true dream come true for me,” says Reese. “It’s such an incredible honor because it’s about showing girls that there are no limits to what they can achieve. I’ve never let anyone else define what’s possible for me, and every challenge I’ve faced has only made me stronger. I hope this doll reminds girls to be unapologetically themselves, embrace every part of who they are, and go after their dreams with confidence.”
Beyond basketball, Reese has built a platform centered on empowering young women through the Angel C. Reese Foundation, which focuses on expanding access to sports, education, and financial literacy for girls and underserved communities. Mattel says those efforts, alongside Reese’s accomplishments on the court and growing entrepreneurial profile, made her a natural choice to join Barbie’s lineup of role models.
To celebrate the launch, Barbie and Reebok are teaming up with TOGETHXR during WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago for The Angel Reese Dream Closet, an interactive pop-up inside TOGETHXR House, open to the public on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 from noon to 5pm. Fans can step inside a life-size Barbie box, get an up-close look at the Barbie Signature doll and the Reebok Angel Reese 1 “Barbie,” and shop a limited-edition apparel capsule co-designed by Reese, including jerseys, graphic tees, and headwear inspired by the look worn by her doll. The capsule is also available online at TheAngelReese.com.
The celebration won’t stop there. On August 3, the Atlanta Dream will host a Barbie Game Day when they take on the Las Vegas Aces, with co-branded merchandise available for fans, including an Angel Reese #5 Barbie Game Day jersey, headband, and crossbody bag.
The Angel Reese x Barbie doll is available now at Target stores and online at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Mattel Shop. The Reebok Angel Reese 1 “Barbie” drops August 3rd at 10am ET on Reebok.com and at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Foot Locker. Check out both below.
