For Spring/Summer 2026, adidas Originals and Avavav continue their partnership with a fourth collection that doesn’t blow up what came before it, but instead picks it apart thread by thread and puts it back together with a sharper eye.
The collection was first previewed earlier this year during FW26 Milan Fashion Week, where founder and creative director Beate Skonare Karlsson flipped the entire concept of a runway show on its head. Exploring the concept of the “Female Gaze,” the models didn’t walk this time, instead, they watched. Guests became the ones on display, turning the usual power dynamic of fashion theater inside out. It was chaotic, conceptual, and very Avavav.
Headlining the collection is the Avavav Megaride, which moves in a completely different direction from the bulked-up Moonrubber Megaride silhouette from previous seasons. This time, the Megaride is stripped back, equipped with windowed mesh uppers that nod to the label’s signature cut-out caging. A red suede iteration and an all-black version with raw-edge canvas overlays are joined by two takes on the Modified Superstar: a “Deconstructed” version with a soft, collapsible leather upper, and a “Shaved Pony” pair wrapped in faux pony hair.
On the apparel side, the collection includes a skintight base layer designed to read as a track top, a cropped track jacket with matching pants that take on a sculptural quality, a shoulderless hoodie, a hooded mini dress, a relaxed-fit tee, baggy denim pants, and printed shorts to round out the range.
As for accessories, the collection’s leather sports bag has remained a constant throughout every chapter of this collaboration and it arrives this season in its largest form yet. Knee-high socks, a sweatband set, and a double-brimmed slashed cap complete the offering.
Belgian photographer Lennart Madou shot the campaign, and the images do the collection serious justice. Deep charcoal tones and near-black shadows dominate the frame, but Avavav’s signature red cuts through like a warning sign with the red Megaride, the sweatband, the three-stripe base layer all pop against the muted backdrop with an almost jarring intensity. Exactly the kind of visual tension the collection itself is built on.
