Bad Bunny and adidas are expanding the BadBo lineup with two new releases, bringing a fresh “Night Navy” colorway of the BadBo 1.0 alongside the debut of the BadBo 1.1 in “Chalk White.”
The BadBo 1.0 “Night Navy” comes dressed in a mix of blue hues, drawing inspiration from the rich, fleeting shades of Puerto Rico’s night sky as the sun sets. Its layered upper combines a light blue nylon base that peeks through the triangular side-window cutouts, framed by indigo and navy suede overlays. Bad Bunny’s signature zig-zag stitching appears on the tongue, while a six-point star motif inspired by the Puerto Rican flag lands on the heel. Beige laces and a matching midsole add contrast, finished with a navy and bliss blue outsole.
The BadBo 1.1, meanwhile, is a brand new model that essentially brings the 1.0 down to a low-top, making its debut in a “Chalk White” colorway inspired by Puerto Rico’s coastline. The padded interior construction of the mid-cut is removed, creating a lower profile. The Trefoil, which sits off-center near the rear of the 1.0, moves directly to the center of the heel on the 1.1.
The layered upper has also been reworked around the lower shape, giving the shoe a different flow from the side. One of the most significant changes comes at the toe, where the smooth toe box of the 1.0 is replaced by a T-toe construction. The overall design is reminiscent of chunky skate shoes from the ’90s, with the model even getting a release at select skate shops, a first for the Bad Bunny x adidas line.
