Bad Bunny and adidas Originals are adding another colorway to their Gazelle lineup with the upcoming “Solar Gold,” a warm-toned release inspired by the golden light of a Caribbean sunset.
The sneaker features a rich honey-yellow suede upper, complemented by leather lining and a classic gum outsole. adidas’ signature Three Stripes run along the sides, keeping the design close to the Gazelle’s familiar roots while the monochromatic palette gives the silhouette a fresh day-on-the-beach look.
Since launching their first Gazelle collaboration in 2024, Bad Bunny and adidas have used the silhouette to explore themes of identity, memory, and home, with Puerto Rico serving as a recurring source of inspiration. The partnership began with the “San Juan” colorway, a blue Gazelle that paid tribute to Benito’s roots and Casa Amadeo, the historic Puerto Rican music store in New York City.
That storytelling continued in 2025 with the Gazelle City Series, introduced during Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican residency. The collection included “El Yunque,” inspired by the island’s tropical rainforest; “Santurce,” referencing the neighborhood’s influence on music and contemporary art; and “Cabo Rojo,” drawing from the region’s distinctive pink salt flats and waters.
The “Solar Gold” edition carries that evolving story forward with a more understated approach, using its sunset-inspired palette to expand the partnership’s range of colors while keeping the Gazelle Indoor at the center of the collaboration.
