Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor Release Info

Original Story (02/13/24): Bad Bunny is adding another silhouette to his arsenal of adidas collaborations. After dropping multiple colorways of the Forum, Campus, and Response CL, we now have a first look at the Puerto Rican superstar’s remix of the adidas Gazelle.

The Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle makes its first appearance on the feet of Benito in his new feature with Interview Magazine. The overall shape of the Bad Bunny Gazelle is similar to that of the OG Gazelle, though the proportion and shapes of the paneling have been altered. The most drastic change appears on the toe, which features a T overlay similar to that of a Samba, though it extends all the way past the first stripe on the side panel. The stem of the T is also skewed to the lateral instead of centered, plus perforations have been added to the toe cap.

As we move towards the rear of the shoe, we see that the ankle collar features a deconstructed look. Another interesting detail appears on the hairy suede heel panel, which displays the size tag that is usually located on the inside of the shoe.

Like Benito’s previous adidas collabs, the Bad Bunny Gazelle features a double tongue, a detail that pays homage to the artist’s bilingual identity. In terms of colorway, the Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle makes its debut in the classic adidas white/black with grey suede overlays.

Grab a first look at the Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor below. Though nothing has been announced as of yet, expect these to drop later this year via adidas and select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Update (09/16/24): adidas Originals has officially announced the release of the Bad Bunny Gazelle Indoor. The shoe embodies the concept of ‘The right thing in the wrong place’ as an expression of styling with freedom. This concept is based on the idea that certain design details, which would normally be considered out of place, can become meaningful and standout elements when creatively reinterpreted. This idea is reflected throughout the design of the shoe and is a key theme of the campaign.

The Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor drops Saturday, September 21st via CONFIRMED (sign-ups now open), adidas.com/badbunny, select adidas stores, and at select retailers. Check out the campaign photos below.

Update (08/17/24): Following the release of the blue “San Juan” colorway, the White/Black pair is now set to release September 21st.
