adidas is teaming up with Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team for a three-way collaboration to launch the Bad Bunny Adiracer GT and Motorsport Collection. The partnership celebrates Formula 1’s debut in Puerto Rico, and welcomes the artist as the newest member of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas family.
First unveiled during adidas’ The Archive exhibit at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico—held alongside Bad Bunny’s record-breaking No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency—the BB Adiracer GT captures the essence of motion and velocity within motorsport culture. Inspired by classic F1 footwear, the low-profile driving silhouette reimagines an early 2000s racing model through a contemporary lens, featuring suede underlays, an exoskeleton structure, and aerodynamic proportions that fuse performance with luxury design.
The accompanying apparel capsule expands the concept beyond the track, combining race-ready precision with Bad Bunny’s distinctive cultural perspective. Highlights include a race jacket, zip-up tees, pants, gloves, and caps rendered in dark tones with bold typography, color-blocked accents, and premium badging. Select pieces features a “94” motif—an homage to race numbers and the artist’s birth year.
On August 2, 2025, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 car made history as the first Formula 1 vehicle to cross Puerto Rico’s Puente Dos Hermanos in San Juan—a symbolic moment that bridges speed, heritage, and creativity. Together, the trio unites sport, culture, and innovation under the banner of iconic adidas design.
