A BATHING APE and adidas have released numerous sneaker collabs over the years, typically centered around lifestyle silhouettes. Now, the two shift into performance territory with a special-edition colorway of the adidas Adizero EVO SL.
BAPE’s twist on the Adizero EVO SL opts for a mismatched design, with pink details on the right shoe and baby blue accents on the left shoe, all atop a white engineered mesh upper. The design is also asymmetrical, with the left side of each shoe featuring Three Stripes branding and the right side featuring the BAPE STA logo. These branding hits are dressed in gold on the medial panels, with additional gold foil branding on the heels, tongues, and insoles. BAPE’s signature CAMO is applied to the sockliners and laces, and mismatching A BATHING APE branding is printed on each of the LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsoles, written in English on the blue shoe and in Japanese on the pink.
