A BATHING APE has teamed up with Disney for the BAPE x Mickey & Friends Collection, bringing Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck together with BAPE staples BABY MILO and BABY LISA.
The collection spans men’s, women’s, and kids’ apparel, with graphic t-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts making up the core lineup. Character artwork is blended with BAPE’s signature graphics, including a reworked COLLEGE logo that incorporates Disney’s iconic characters.
The men’s range centers on Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, while the women’s offering puts Minnie Mouse and BABY MILO in focus across more fitted silhouettes, including cropped and mini t-shirts. The kids’ collection brings together Mickey, Minnie, and Donald with BABY MILO and BABY LISA in brighter color combinations.
The collaboration has already begun rolling out, with an early launch taking place July 18 at the BAPE STORE in Shanghai Disney Town, followed by a Mainland China release earlier this month.
The lookbook for the collection stars Chinese fashion influencer Tan Suan, RYUL of the Korean boy band LNGSHOT, and JayDon, the singer-songwriter, actor, and dancer who provided the voice of young Simba in 2019’s The Lion King.
This collection marks the first time BAPE has released Mickey Mouse apparel since 2016, when it did so to celebrate the grand opening of the Shanghai Disney Town BAPE STORE.
The BAPE x Mickey & Friends Collection will receive its wider release on August 22nd at authorized A BATHING APE retailers and the BAPE.COM web store. Check out the collection below.
