GOD SELECTION XXX is one of the labels that is currently leading the Japanese streetwear scene. Founded by Yasunari Miyazaki in 2013, the brand is known for its iconic graphic tee designs, including photo tees with “XXX” branding blocking out the eyes.
In a meeting of Japanese new school and OG street fashion, GOD SELECTION XXX is teaming up with BAPE to release a collection of apparel and accessories. Spearheading the collection is a selection of graphic tees with flips of BAPE’s iconography from over the years, including APE HEAD, COLLEGE LOGO, BAPE BEE, BABY MILO, BEETHOVEN, and GENERAL.
Other pieces feature BAPE CAMO infused with “XXX” branding. This pattern is featured on a snowboard jacket, shark hoodie, as well as on a cushion and rug. Rounding out the collaboration is a BAPEX wall clock, BAPE BEE keychain, and BABY MILO vinyl figure.
BAPE x GOD SELECTION XXX drops Sunday, April 28th on the BAPE.COM, US.BAPE.COM, the GOD SELECTION XXX website, and at A BATHING APE and God Selection XXX stores.
The BEETHOVEN and GENERAL tees will be available exclusively on the GOD SELECTION XXX website for 48 hours. Rugs and cushions are expected to drop in early June. Check out the campaign images below.
