A BATHING APE and MEDICOM TOY are celebrating three decades of toy history by revisiting one of their most iconic collaborations.
To mark MEDICOM TOY’s 30th anniversary, BAPE is bringing back the original camouflage pattern introduced during the brands’ landmark 2003 collaboration, reviving a design that helped define the crossover between streetwear and designer toys in the early 2000s. More than twenty years later, the capsule looks back at that moment while updating it for today.
Leading the collection is the BE@R SHARK FULL ZIP REVERSIBLE HOODIE, which applies the revived archival camouflage across one of BAPE’s signature silhouettes. The capsule also includes a selection of graphic tees featuring COLLEGE MILO, BUSY WORKS, and a BAPE x BE@RBRICK glow-in-the-dark logo tee, alongside a matching BAPE STA dressed in the same commemorative camo.
No BAPE x MEDICOM TOY collaboration would be complete without a BE@RBRICK. This release includes a SHARK HOODIE BE@RBRICK 100% & 400% set, as well as a towering 1000% edition, each outfitting MEDICOM TOY’s signature collectible in BAPE’s unmistakable SHARK HOODIE.
Rather than creating an entirely new theme, the anniversary collection celebrates the history the two brands have built together over the last quarter century. Since first collaborating in the early 2000s, BAPE and MEDICOM TOY have produced some of the most recognizable BE@RBRICK releases ever, helping establish the collectible as a fixture within streetwear culture.
