In honor of BEAMS‘ 50th anniversary and the grand reopening of its Harajuku store location, the Japanese brand is reuniting with Dr. Martens after six years for a new collaboration on the archival workwear-inspired Lowell silhouette.
Fusing British heritage with Tokyo cult design, the all-black moc toe shoe features Dr. Martens’ signature rugged sole with a welt stitch, while the uppers have been reworked with BEAMS’ signature “Crazy Pattern” lens. Playing with texture and asymmetry, the shoe is constructed using high-shine Patent, soft Bronx Suede, smooth Orleans, and croc-embossed Atlas leathers across five distinct upper panels. The various materials come together across the two shoes to create a mismatching pair, resulting in a dynamic monochrome statement that feels both refined and subversive.
