Boston-founded institution Bodega has teamed up with Salomon for a collaboration on the XT-4 OG that defies conventionality and rejects the nine-to-five office life. Merging Salomon’s uncompromising high-performance DNA with Bodega’s disruptive, culture-shaping point of view, the redefined XT-4 OG is made for those who carve their own path, whether navigating rural trails or urban landscapes.
Nicknamed “The Glider,” the shoe features a layered mesh upper with durable synthetic overlays in muted tones of grey, taupe, and earthy brown, accented with hits of teal, neon green, and orange for unexpected vibrancy. A speckled midsole pays homage to the XT-4’s trail heritage, while the insoles feature a paraglider graphic thats ties to the shoe’s inspiration: a design rooted in freedom, movement, precision tension, and taking the the unconventional path.
Staying true to XT-04’s timeless design, the trail model upkeeps its elements of precision while delivering modern functionality. A full-length Agile Chassis™ System provides stability and balance, while the dual-density EVA cushioning in the midsole ensures protection and soft landings with every step. Dressed in soft earth tones, the sneaker strives to reignite the joy of exploration and individuality.
The accompanying campaign contrasts the life of confinement in an office and the desire to liberate oneself in the outdoors. The shoe’s unlikely placement in a ’90s office environment plays on the sneaker’s manifesto to awaken nostalgia and disrupt routine.
