Born X Raised Vans Authentic 44 Collection 2027 Release Date

Born X Raised’s next collaboration with Vans is officially on the horizon. While the collection won’t arrive until 2027, the Los Angeles streetwear label has already begun teasing what’s to come through a special event in Mexico City.

The rollout officially began on August 1st, when Born X Raised transformed House of Vans Mexico City into a flea market-inspired community event. Attendees received a friends-and-family edition of the collaboration, a special Mexico City-exclusive Authentic 44 limited to just 50 pairs.

Designed by Born X Raised co-founder and creative director Alex “2Tone” Erdmann, the white-and-blue colorway pays tribute to CDMX through a series of hand-drawn graphics. An unlocked chain appears on the upper alongside “Una Cuadra A La Vez,” the Spanish translation of Born X Raised’s “One Block at a Time” mantra. Other details reference the city directly, including Tlaloc, the Aztec god of rain, and “Distrito Federal” scrawled across the right heel.

While that version will remain exclusive to the event, the retail collection headed for 2027 takes the same doodled aesthetic in a different direction. Modern Notoriety had the opportunity to preview the collection during Paris Fashion Week, where three colorways—white, black, and blue—were on display.

Each Authentic 44 features a canvas upper finished with intentionally distressed details, yellowed midsoles, and scuffed edges to create the appearance of a well-worn favorite. Across the uppers are pen-style illustrations, including brick wall graphics wrapping the toe and heel, teardrops, spiders, spiderwebs, “OFF THE WALL” lettering, and white paint splatter that gives every pair the feeling of a notebook covered in sketches.

The footwear is accompanied by a matching apparel collection that continues the handwritten motif. Standout pieces include a washed black hoodie and matching sweatpants embroidered with the same doodle-inspired graphics, tees in washed black and blue, a black mesh football jersey featuring Born X Raised’s signature Old English branding, and a pair of khakis to round out the capsule.

The Born X Raised x Vans Authentic 44 collection is slated to release in Spring/Summer 2027 via Born X Raised, Vans.com, and select retailers. Check out the three colorways below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for additional updates as more information becomes available.
