Carhartt WIP and Salomon are back with their second footwear collaboration. Following the release of their CSWP Shelter boot in 2022, the two brands reunite on the X-ALP, a versatile sneaker fit for the duo’s shared philosophies on durability, performance, and resistance.
The X-ALP is designed for all terrain, crafted from quality materials and featuring a protective toecap and lateral power band. Carhartt WIP’s version comes dressed in sleek black grainy leather with suede overlays, accented by Carhartt WIP’s signature camouflage print on the ankle collars and tongues. Underfoot, an All Terrain Contagrip outsole provides traction for the trails or everyday city commutes.
The accompanying campaign, directed by Bailey Marklew, presents haunting visuals set in a discreet outpost eroded by gravitational pulls and electromagnetic anomalies. A team of researchers marches deeper into the unknown to unmask a creature-like presence filled with hanging tendrils, holding the X-ALP hostage yet alive.
The Carhartt WIP x Salomon X-ALP will be available via early access on the Carhartt WIP app on December 17th, followed by a general release on December 18th via salomon.com (10am ET), carhartt-wip.com (10am ET), and select retailers. Check them out below.
