Edison Chen’s streetwear label CLOT and adidas have teamed up with Chinese designer Caroline Hú to reimagine the classic Taekwondo silhouette, blending martial arts discipline with the graceful elegance of ballet.
The collection features three ethereal colorways of the low-profile Taekwondo style — “Triple Black,” “Soft Pink,” and “Off White.” Each pair is crafted with durable straps and sleek uppers, accented by the iconic Three Stripes and distinctive toe detailing as a nod to adidas heritage.
Designed to merge sport and sophistication, the sneakers embody Hú’s signature romantic aesthetic while reflecting the shared creative DNA of CLOT and adidas. Each colorway captures her exploration of beauty, emotion, and movement through minimal, expressive design.
The accompanying campaign explores duality — the harmony between fragility and strength, light and shadow, stillness and motion. The Taekwondo silhouette channels imperfection and resilience, emphasizing that true grace lies in the balance between vulnerability and power.
Through his partnership with adidas, Edison Chen continues to spotlight emerging talent from China’s fashion scene by giving them opportunities to collaborate with the Three Stripes. One of those rising stars is Caroline Hú, a womenswear designer celebrated as a finalist for the LVMH Young Designer Award and the inaugural winner of the BoF China Prize. Her latest Taekwondo project follows her earlier adidas Samba collaboration, which reimagined the classic silhouette with delicate materials such as satin, lace, and textured silk.
