
A BATHING APE and Spotify are unveiling the next chapter of their partnership with a collaboration featuring Central Cee streetwear brand SYNA, with Cench serving as Creative Director. The capsule collection fuses signature BAPE silhouettes and CAMO detailing with the British rapper’s visionary lens, highlighting the intersection between hip hop and fashion culture.
Inspired by the iconic purple BAPE hoodie — a piece that became a cultural reference point in hip-hop fashion — the collection incorporates the purple color throughout its pieces and designs as a storytelling reference. Highlights include a puffer with a purple option that nods to a BAPE colorway Central Cee has long admired, a “Synning BAPE” graphic tee that reimagines one of the brand’s most recognizable designs through the SYNA lens, and a football jersey inspired by England’s 2006 home kit that reflects Cench’s lifelong love of the game. BABY MILO makes a special appearance on a tee featuring a cartoon version of Cench, as well as on a keychain with the iconic Shark Hoodie.
“I’m lucky to have creative friends and my manager who all give me input with these things. With their help I felt confident I could creative direct this three way collab between BAPE x Spotify x SYNA. I’m looking forward to seeing people out in the world wearing the pieces,” says Central Cee.
With music at the core of the creative process, each piece connects back to a song idea that shaped the mood, silhouette, color and detail. Select labels and care tags include scannable links that point fans to a Central Cee-curated playlist on Spotify, which will update through the launch.
