Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is launching a new grey colorway of his first signature performance basketball shoe with Converse, the SHAI 001.
Dubbed “Ares Gray,” this pair draws inspiration from his 1-year-old son, Ares, and the grey hue of his eyes. The color is also a reflection of Shai’s game: sleek and versatile. Just as grey moves effortlessly between light and shadow, this colorway mirrors the way SGA shifts on the court and adapts to any challenge.
Family is of the utmost importance to Shai, evidenced by the iterations of the SHAI 001 that he’s released thus far. In the “Family Pack,” SGA paid tribute to his brother, wife, and mother with individual colorways.
