Nike SB has cooked up one of the most unexpected sneaker collabs of all time. Bulk shopping meets limited-drop hype on the Nike SB Dunk Low “Kirkland Signature” made in collaboration with Costco’s private label brand.
The shoe’s design riffs on Kirkland Signature’s heather grey sweats that you can purchase at Costco locations while shopping for groceries, household supplies, and other essentials. Uppers come swaddled in soft grey fleece, echoing those cozy sweatshirts Costco shoppers know and love. A K-Sig box logo adorns the lateral heel, while the tongue tags feature reimagined Nike SB branding with “Skateboarding” in cursive and red to mirror the Kirkland Signature logo.
Additional features include soft terry liners, Kirkland Signature graphic insoles, and an “Executive Skateboarder” Costco membership card hangtag. More details are hidden on the inside of the shoe, including a Costco item price sign-inspired tag on the inner tongue and a graphic printed on the Zoom heel pod that salutes Costco’s legendary $1.50 1/4-pound all-beef hot dog. The shoe also comes with five different lace options and is wrapped in Costco Wholesale-branded tissue paper.
This isn’t the first time Nike SB has toyed with unexpected partners, and it certainly won’t be the last. Kirkland has long been known for its commitment to essentials and authenticity. Suddenly, the everyday brand is transformed into a chase-worthy grail, as sneaker collectors, skaters, and Costco regulars all eye the drop.
The Kirkland Signature x Nike SB Dunk Low is expected to drop before the end of the year, though release details have been kept hush-hush.
