Original Story (02/18/26): Dashawn Jordan and Nike SB are gearing up to release their long-awaited SB Dunk Low collaboration. The sneaker’s color palette draws inspiration from the “Copperhead” Arizona Diamondbacks’ 2001 World Series championship hat, celebrating Jordan’s home state.
Many fans have been anticipating this drop for months, but for Jordan, this collaboration has been in the works for years. The 29-year-old professional skateboarder started out in his home state at just 11 and later quickly rose to fame after winning the 2016 Tampa Am and becoming a top X Games medalist, which earned him a Nike SB sponsorship. And every time a conversation about sneakers came up, he would always bring up the fact that if he ever did a shoe, it would be the same colorway as the 2001 Diamondbacks hat he would always wear.
The shoe itself immediately stands out with a faux snakeskin overlay, a burst of rich purple lining the interior, and teal heel tabs. The black suede panels keep the Swoosh understated, and branding on the tongue is stitched in teal alongside Jordan’s name stitched below it. What keeps the design minimal is the black midsole and outsole. A fun detail on the shoe is the small bronzed copperhead with its fangs clinging to the black laces. Jordan knows how to make a stylish shoe, one that’s perfect not just in the eyes of skaters and sneakerheads, but that you might get compliments from outside the community, as Jordan did when he talked about wearing them during an interview with Sneaker News.
This collaboration means a lot, both to Jordan and to the people of Arizona. Randy Johnson, the iconic pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks, has his eyes on these SB Dunk Lows, and Jordan recently teased that something special is coming with the D-backs.
The Dashawn Jordan x Nike SB Dunk Low “Copperhead” drops March 14th at Faces Skate Shop in Tempe, Arizona, followed by a wider release on March 17th at global skate shops and on SNKRS (overseas only). Check out the pair below.
