Denim Tears & Skepta Drop Hand-Painted Collection

Following recent collections with Stüssy x Our Legacy and Virgil Abloh’s Pyrex Vision, Denim Tears is now launching a collaboration with British-Nigerian grime MC Skepta.

This collection was created as part of Skepta’s recent project with Sotheby’s, where he guest curated the auction house’s Contemporary Curated series in London. The art auction included one of Skepta’s own paintings, titled Mama Goes To Market, which was reimagined through garments and textiles for this collaboration with Tremaine Emory’s streetwear label.

The apparel collection consists of six pieces, including a pair of Levi’s 501 jeans, a long-sleeve, a hoodie, a tote bag, a silk scarf, and a graphic tee featuring Skepta’s painting printed on the chest. All pieces besides the tee were painted by hand in Los Angeles, California.
