In honor of Derrick Rose and his upcoming jersey retirement, a community-driven fan appreciation event, D Rose Day, will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in Chicago.
D Rose Day is dedicated to the fans who have supported Derrick Rose from the very beginning. The event invites Chicago’s most passionate D Rose supporters to come together, share personal messages, and give Rose his flowers ahead of his historic retirement night at the United Center.
As part of the experience, fans will be invited to participate in a dedicated fan photo moment. Each photo taken will serve as an entry to win VIP suite tickets to Derrick Rose’s jersey retirement game on January 24th, where his number will be raised to the rafters. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite D Rose merch or bring items that represent their fandom.
At the event, attendees will also be able to reserve a pair of Derrick Rose’s first signature shoe with adidas, the Adizero Rose 1, in its original black and red “Bulls” colorway ahead of the official release later this month. Pairs will be available for pick-up on January 17th.
Fans will have the opportunity to submit written messages reflecting on Derrick Rose’s impact on their lives. Select messages may be featured in public displays and incorporated into commemorative artwork connected to his retirement celebration.
