Houston-based streetwear brand DIOS — Did It Ourselves — has teamed up with adidas to reimagine the Superstar, honoring the hustle and heart of Houston, a city defined by self-made ambition, music, and movement.
The collaborative sneaker uses the Superstar XLG silhouette as a base, dressed in black with wearaway canvas stripes that reveal leather tones underneath, evolving with every step and symbolizing growth through grind. Each pair is finished with a gold DIOS pendant, unique logo placements, and design details that merge Houston’s authenticity with adidas’ timeless craftsmanship.
Ahead of the release, DIOS unveiled a Friends & Family Superstar in a cream colorway that will not be releasing to the public, save for ten pairs that were given away to ten lucky fans.
Founded by Houston rapper Le$ and multidisciplinary creative Jorgey, DIOS represents a generation of hustlers, artists, and creators who build their own lanes and inspire others to do the same. Rooted in DIOS’ “Did It Ourselves” mentality, their partnership with adidas embodies the possibilities that emerge when passion, hard work, creativity, and community come together. Ahead of the global launch, adidas and DIOS teamed up to host a block party and pop-up at the DIOS store in Houston, TX on November 22nd, where locals got first dibs to cop the shoes.
