Hot off the heels of their remix of the 1460 Bex platform sole boot, a second drop of the collaboration between Rick Owens and Dr. Martens is on the way.
The three-piece ensemble includes a gender-fluid offering of the 1460 Bex, Gryphon sandal and 1461 Bex DS. In continuance of the recently released 1460 Bex, the new version comes in a pearl suede colorway. It also displays the designer’s mainline footwear pentagram lacing system, accenting zippers, and thick sole. The Gryphon sandal features Dr. Martens’ signature Black Smooth leather, a Smoke Shore sole and gladiator-like buckles. As for the 1461 Bex DS, details include Owens’ “DEEPER THAN A MOTHER’S TEARS” motif debossed on the lateral heel and a double yellow and pearl welt stitch on the midsole.
Owens’ moody creative direction seems to pair just fine with the gothic familiarity of Dr. Martens. The Rick Owens x Dr. Martens collection will be available on the Dr. Martens site, the Rick Owens site, flagship stores and select retailers on May 8th.
