Converse is giving the Chuck Taylor a Dragon Ball Z makeover this summer. The upcoming collection brings the anime’s most iconic heroes and villains to seven footwear styles, alongside a small apparel capsule and Converse By You customization options.
Leading the lineup is a Shenron-themed Chuck 70, featuring a graphic of the wish-granting dragon that wraps all around the black leather upper. The remaining adult styles arrive on the Chuck Taylor All Star, with pairs inspired by Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Cell.
Each pair incorporates design details pulled directly from the character’s on-screen appearances, such as a scouter keychain on the Vegeta pair, shiny patent leather paneling on the Frieza pair as a nod to the villain’s bio-armor, and a V-shaped tongue on Cell’s sneaker reminiscent of the character’s distinctive crown.
Two additional styles round out the footwear lineup for younger fans. A Fusion-themed pair celebrates Goten and Kid Trunks, while a playful Majin Buu design brings the pink villain to life. Fans looking to create their own pair will also find Dragon Ball Z graphics available through Converse By You, with customization options featuring additional characters like Gohan and Krillin.
The footwear is accompanied by a small apparel capsule that includes a black Shenron hoodie, a matching Shenron graphic tee, and an orange Goku tee.
The Dragon Ball Z x Converse collection drops July 23rd on the Converse website and at select retailers such as Journeys. Check out the complete lineup below.
