Rare OVO x Air Jordan 9 Sample Surfaces in Two Colorways

From around 2013 to 2018, Drake and Jordan Brand collaborated on various OVO x Air Jordan sneakers. Some were made available to the public (like the OVO 12s), while others were either PEs made exclusively for Drake or F&F created in extremely limited quantities (like the “Splatter” 4s).

What can be even rarer than the PEs are the scrapped 1-of-1 samples of these collabs, which are often only revealed years after they were initially created. That’s the case with the OVO x Air Jordan 9, just revealed in two colorways be sneaker collector Electric on Instagram.

Samples of the OVO x Air Jordan 9 were created in all-white and all-black, each adorned with gold accents, much like many of the other OVO x Air Jordan projects. Special features include “October’s Very Own” branding on the tongues, owl logos on the insoles, with additional OVO branding appearing through the translucent midsoles.

Check out both samples of these scrapped OVO x Air Jordan 9 colorways below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more sneaker news.
